While MPE is located in the Dallas city limits, our neighborhood is part of the Richardson Independent School District ("RISD").
The RISD has received a "recognized" rating from the Texas Education Agency "TEA" again this year, for the 4th consecutive year in a row.

Our elementary school, Merriman
Park Elementary has been recognized nationally. In 2009, it was ranked Exemplary by the TEA. It is located on the north edge of the neighborhood and it schools Kindergarten through 6th

Meadow Junior High, has also been recognized nationally when the
school received the United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon
School Award from 1994 to 1996. This school houses grades 7th and 8th. |

Ninth graders have their very own Lake
Highlands Freshman Center. This center was built to reduce the
number of students feeding directly into our high school from junior
high. This center is devoted totally to freshman. |

Lake Highlands High School has produced 17 National Merit Finalists in
the last two years. This is just a sample of the many achievements the
school and it's students have accomplished. From academics, to
sports, to drama, this school has maintained high standards and prepares
